Practise the short u sound, as in bus, cup and jump. First you hear the sound and ten example words, then a short story that uses them.

How to practise

  1. Listen once without reading.
  2. Listen again and read along.
  3. Pause after each line and repeat it out loud.

  • Today there was a fuss on the bus.
  • A bug jumped on Gus.
  • Gus jumped up.
  • Then it jumped on Russ.
  • I saw the bug jump on the window.
  • It was just a little bug.
  • It liked to run up and down the window.
  • The bug must like to ride on the bus.
